cat/cow

This is one of my favorites because it usually feels pretty great. It helps to loosen up a stiff body and work on the mobility and flexibility in your spine, which is important as we age! It’s the perfect way to start your morning or end your day.

It also allows the spine to move in 2 different directions: flexion (rounding spine to ceiling aka cat) and extension (cow), which is why it’s great for mobility/flexibility. Moving our spine/body in different directions is good for it (as long as it’s not painful)!

Note: if you have any spinal fusions, low back issues or osteoporosis this may not be the right stretch for you. Please consult your doctor.
